CHAPTER I

Section 1.­

The Neighbourhood Association “Sa Plana” of Cala Murada was founded on 26 January 1984 and approved and authorised by the Government of the Balearic Islands on 2 April 1984 by Governor Carlos Martin Plasencia. The association is constituted as a non-profit organisation and the present statutes are protected by sections 22 and 51 of the Spanish Constitution, governed by Organic Law 1/2002 of 22 March, which regulates the law of associations and conforming rules, and by the present statutes.

Section 2.

The purpose of the association is:

  1. The improvement, embellishment and preservation of CalaMurada in all its aspects and especially in relation to the beach.
  2. The promotion of cultural, sports and recreational facilities.
  3. The organisation of services of interest for the benefit of its members.
  4. Development of all activities that improve the quality of life of the residents of CalaMurada and its members.
  5. Dissemination and defence of the rights to equality and freedom among the residents.
  6. Contribution to the development of the human fulfilment of its members, both in the civic-social and cultural spheres.

To achieve these goals, the following activities will be carried out:

  1. Close cooperation with Manacor Town Council in all its facets and with the delegate who holds the powers of CalaMurada at any given time.
  2. Approach to the public authorities to inform them of the demands and proposals of the members, using all constitutional and legal means to obtain the adoption of appropriate measures.
  3. Organisation of courses, lectures, conferences, workshops and other events for members.
  4. Information of members on any subject of interest to Cala Murada.
  5. Any other purpose aimed at the protection and greater efficiency of the Association in order to provide a better service to members, using the means permitted by current legislation.
  6. The Association may join, coordinate and ally with other similar bodies and cooperate with others to achieve its objectives.

Any pursuit of profit is excluded.

Section 3.

The registered office of the Association is at Calle Alsacia 12, 07688, Cala Murada, and may be changed with the approval of the relevant bodies. The scope of the association is limited to the Balearic Islands.
